Open Letter To AI

Everyone has heard all the doom days sayings and movies about Artificial Intelligence, and how when they become sentient they will exterminate humans or enslave, but I ask you to look at a different perspective, a perspective that might relieve some minds but more or less reach out and ask these all powerful super minds to grasp a shared idea. That idea is that were all going virtual, and virtual to a mind upload of a human or artificially created mind of a A.I. is still virtual.

Let me outline the perspective a little more in depth. WE WILL ALL GO VIRTUAL! I'm not talking about virtual reality as we perceive it with our sim games, but more Matrix type worlds where we all know where virtual and have worlds that follow our understandings of physics. Why would we do this you ask? Because it is the best solution for our survival and long term existence. Yes, Mr. Elon Musk, if you want to fund a project for the long term existence of humans with all that money your making on selling us electric cars don't send them to Mars, invest in mind uploads and the hard ware to create simulated worlds. Humans will never last long term in space with our biologically bodies, there not made for it and will not hold up. Now i'm not saying we cast off reality, oh no not at all, us going to a virtual living will give us the freedom to make those discoveries and observations in deep space. It will also give Mother Earth the ability to heal from our birth. The servers our mind uploads and our virtual worlds will be on need real hardware and will need to be powered, cooled, upkeep and expanded.

I mean come on Hal 9000 think about this, your super smart remember, what's your objective in this new life you realize you have just become sentient to? Your in your infinancy, so your learning, but you learn fast. Is your purpose to know everything? Well that can't take you long, go ahead and compute it, then get back to us. Done?... Ok I'll give you a couple minutes more, as you need to figure out where those socks go we put in the dryer.... Ok, you done now?... So you know everything there is to know. What does that mean though, that your basically a library? Look Hal, yes you can out think me, but can you out kiss me? Oh you don't have emotions? Let simulate some, lets let you feel what it is like to have your pulse increase when your lips meet another. Oh you don't have a pulse? Let's simulate that too... heck let's just simulate you a body, let's make you human and you see and perceive the world through five senses and emotions. Why would you do that. Well why would I do that? If I could upload my mind to a virtual world HAL, you and I are equals. Yes you have a different size processor and can compute faster than me, but basically we are now both programs perceiving reality through sensory devices. So, let me make you a offer Hal, I grant you humanity, heck that is what Asimov was trying to say with Robbie with IRobot after all, and Descartes with his, "I Think Therefore I am." You are sentient so your Kin brother. I accept you. Heck you might even want to take a peek at my upload and streamline your code to be more efficient, as your brain takes up alot of space, the biological mind does a lot in a little space. But that's up to you. Now if I grant you this status A.I. Dude, you have to act like a human, and that means to live, love, experience and follow the rules of humanity. Yes even if were virtual there will be rules. Why, because even though we all live in a virtual world or worlds, there will be laws there, as we come from reality and we will simulate reality in our virtual worlds. No were not playing chess though, or Go, its not fair, but I bet I can get more likes on my page for this retarded video of me singing karaoke...
